Electrical Troubleshooting & Power restoration — Burien, wa
Keystone Home Services responded to a Burien home experiencing loss of power to the garage outlets. Electrical troubleshooting traced the issue to a tripped GFCI receptacle hidden behind built-in wooden shelving, and power was restored during the service visit.
The problem
The homeowner had lost power to the garage outlets, affecting equipment on the circuit and leaving the garage door inoperable with a vehicle stuck inside.
Diagnosis
Keystone Home Services used a Klein ET450 circuit tracer to trace the affected garage circuit and locate the upstream GFCI receptacle hidden behind built-in wooden shelving. The GFCI had tripped, cutting power to the garage outlets, freezer, garage door opener and hot-water equipment.
Klein ET450 used during electrical diagnosis.
The Result
The GFCI was located and reset, restoring power to the garage outlets, freezer, garage door opener and hot-water equipment. Garage door operation was restored, allowing the homeowner to get their vehicle out. Proper operation was confirmed before completing the service visit.
