Deck restoration & refinishing — Des moines, wa
Keystone Home Services restored and refinished a weathered wood deck at a home in Des Moines, WA. The project included deep cleaning, wood brightening, pressure washing, replacement of rusted deck screws, and two coats of Ready Seal Natural Cedar exterior wood stain.
The problem
The existing wood deck had become weathered and faded from outdoor exposure, and many of the deck screws showed visible rust. The wood surface needed thorough cleaning, sanding, preparation, fastener replacement, and refinishing to restore its appearance and provide renewed exterior protection.
Before: Weathered wood deck prior to cleaning, sanding, and refinishing.
diagnosis
Keystone Home Services evaluated the deck and determined that extensive surface preparation was needed before applying a new finish. The deck was treated with exterior cleaner and wood brightener, pressure washed to remove buildup, and sanded to prepare the wood for staining. Most of the rusted deck screws were also replaced before refinishing.
During: Deck cleaned, brightened, pressure washed, sanded, and prepared for refinishing.
The result
Two coats of Ready Seal Natural Cedar exterior wood stain were applied to the prepared deck. With the wood cleaned and sanded, most of the rusted fasteners replaced, and the weathered surface refinished, the completed deck had a warmer, refreshed appearance while retaining the natural wood grain and receiving renewed exterior protection.
After: Restored deck finished with two coats of Ready Seal Natural Cedar exterior wood stain in Des Moines, WA.
